And the weather was perfect for an outdoor play date with the cousins.
 What a great time!

Cousins' Annual Halloween Get Together

Happy Halloween! Let's get this Cousins' party started on a healthy note . . .

After some snacking, all the kids gathered round Grandpa Eli for some costume picture fun.
Superbaby Alana wasn't quite sure what to think about all the commotion, but she held her own.
Big brother, Henry (Hank is going by his full name now),
carved his pumpkin all by himself this year.
After carving, the kids worked up an appetite. Time to decorate cookies!
After dessert, it was back outside for some last minute family pictures with Grandpa.
Ladies first . . .
And then all of the grandchildren.
Even Mommy got a pic with Alana.
 Love our family howliday tradition.

Passover Family Celebration 2014

Our Greenberg/Matz family Passover Celebration started off with filling our seder plates.
Hank made one of his very own this year!
Then it was time to make the matzah balls and take some happy/silly cousin pictures.

As for the seder, everyone gathered at the table and listened to Sierra, as she did a fabulous job of being the main reader this year. Grown ups chimed in with the Hebrew. Equally important, both Hank and Ryder sat quietly for the entire seder. Wow!

Of course, no seder is complete without finding the Afikomen. Lots of excitement, and of course, lots of golden dollars to be collected!

We look forward to next year when we plan on needing to make room for one more baby Greenberg at the table!

Thanksgivukkah

We started off this year's once in a lifetime double celebration with our traditional Thanksgiving family get together with the cousins, Aunt Rachel and Grandma Marcy. Gobble, gobble!
As the week of Hanukkah progressed, we partied with the Pokornys.
Hank tried his very first latke with his friend, Mira.
Then, for dessert, Hank and Mira made candy dreidels. Yum!
Grandpa (formerly Poohpa) came to visit, as well. We celebrated Shabbat together,
and played with toys together, too.
At the end of the holiday whirlwind,
we all headed to the Matz Family home for one last day of Hanukkah fun.
What a remarkable and memorable Thanksgivukkah!

Passover 2013

It's our first official Passover in our new home back in Evergreen.
We got to celebrate with both family and friends this year.
As tradition goes, Hank got busy making matzah balls with his cousins,
and this year, his friend, Eli joined us.
During the seder, Hank got to drink some Passover juice.
After the seder, it was time for some yummy food and some silly faces.
No seder is complete without the afikomen.  Once found, everyone got a golden dollar.
 What a wonderful Passover!

Pumpkin Party Time

It's a family tradition!  Here are the cousins, ready for the festivities.
Sierra mentored Hank as he decorated his first pumpkin.
Here's his finished product - a pumpkin monster!
Here are all the cousins' pumpkins (from left to right:  Sierra, Ryder, Hank)
Then it was time for the adults to show off their carving skills
(left to right:  Mommy's witch, Aunt Rachel's cat and Daddy's skeleton)
What a great early start to Halloween!

Crazy Cousin Fun at Rock Creek Farms

Now that it's Fall, and Rock Creek Farms is open,
we met up with Aunt Rachel, Sierra and Ryder for some fun times.
Hank loved it all, including making "music" on the pumpkins.
Here's Hank and Ryder cruising along on the bales of hay.
We can't forget the farm animals . . . Sierra and Hank greeted them all -  goats, cows, pigs and sheep.
Then after a quick snack,
it was time to enjoy the giant slide!
 What a great morning!

Cousins Brad and Carly Come to Evergreen

Cousins Brad and Carly, who live in NYC, happened to be vacationing in Evergreen this weekend.
We drove up to meet them for breakfast and fun at the local park which we used to frequent when we lived there. Brad and Carly had not seen Hank for almost a full year, so there was a lot to catch up on. We look forward to meeting up again, wherever and whenever that may be!
