Little Ilana is Eight Months Old

Well, well, well. Look who's eight months old? 

Ilana's got her two bottom teeth now, 

loves bacon and graham crackers, 

bouncing and being thrown up in the air, 

and watching everything her big brother does. 

It's a good life!

Goodbye Tonsils

Henry got his tonsils and adenoids removed today. He was very brave.

He followed all the nurses' directions.

 He even got to watch TV in the recovery room. Watching TV in bed rocked!

 After a few days, our sweet Henry was starting to feel like himself again.

Our Favorite Five Year Old Boy

Henry had his five year old checkup today. He weighs 34 pounds (10th percentile) and is 40.5" tall (10th percentile). Small, but mighty . . . just like his Star Wars hero, Yoda!

Henry's 5th Birthday Party - Hot Wheels Style!

Henry asked for a Hot Wheels birthday party, so we revved up our engines!

We had face painting, 

hot wheels car races and even

tons of fun outside (we had incredible weather)!

Ilana had a blast, too!

 Henry blew out his candles,

got hugs from his cousins,

 and even had Grandma there for the festivities.

What a great way to celebrate turning five! 

Ilana's First Tooth

We're not exactly sure when it happened, but this morning, Mommy noticed one little chomper sticking up from Ilana's bottom gum.

 We immediately celebrated with frozen yogurt - another "first" for Ilana!

Ilana is 7 months old!

Here's the update on little Ilana:

- she's a sitter and has been for about a week now. A whole new world has now opened up for her!

- She easily rolls from her back to her belly, but after that, she's stuck. We've had one night where she woke up and Mommy had to turn her back over.

- Ilana sleeps through the night about 75% of the time. If she doesn't make it, she usually wakes around 9PM for one last nursing session.

- she loves solid food and eats them at breakfast and dinner. She enjoys having Radar lick her hands clean. . . the face, not so much.

- drank from a straw on the very first try. No need to learn how to use a sippy cup! That one's checked off the list . . .

- no teeth yet. Not even close.

- a tad bit of cradle cap left, but we are nearing the end, we hope ;)

Sitting and a Roll

Today was a big day. 

Ilana sat up by herself for about one minute before falling over AND she rolled over from her back to her belly. Too bad she couldn't yet figure out what to do after that!
