Our Family is Finally Complete - Meet Alana Vered

Friday, June 27, 2014, 11:01AM
Alana Vered decided to enter the world 12 days before her due date of July 9th.
She weighed 8 lb 10oz and was 21 inches long.
Her weight and length were exactly the same as her big brother, Hank, when he was born!
She was a snuggler right from the start. Here she is with Daddy.
Of course, she got lots of snuggle time with Mommy, too. Here's a selfie taken in the hospital.
Hank loves being a big brother.
The hospital even gave him a sibling party, complete with a cupcake covered in sprinkles.

 Big brothers rule!
What a special, miraculous first day of life for Alana. In fact, it ended with a double rainbow.
No better way to enter the world. Happy Birthday, our little Alana!

Plowing Into Summer

4 Wheeling is for every season,
even when it's just up and down the street with the winter plow still attached.
Hank and Daddy were in heaven!

Camping with our Young Family Chavurah

This was our second summer to go camping with our congregation's
Young Family Chavurah at Chatfield State Park.
Some of the highlights included: catching bubbles with just your tongue,
going on a scavenger hunt with friends,
roasting marshmallows,
 eating smores,
singing with Rabbi Jamie around the campfire,
and staying up way past bedtime.
What an incredible family of friends!

Passover Family Celebration 2014

Our Greenberg/Matz family Passover Celebration started off with filling our seder plates.
Hank made one of his very own this year!
Then it was time to make the matzah balls and take some happy/silly cousin pictures.

As for the seder, everyone gathered at the table and listened to Sierra, as she did a fabulous job of being the main reader this year. Grown ups chimed in with the Hebrew. Equally important, both Hank and Ryder sat quietly for the entire seder. Wow!

Of course, no seder is complete without finding the Afikomen. Lots of excitement, and of course, lots of golden dollars to be collected!

We look forward to next year when we plan on needing to make room for one more baby Greenberg at the table!

Golden Times in Clear Creek

It was a free choice day today and Hank wanted to head to Golden, CO for some warmth and cruising around the Clear Creek.
He even found some dandelions and picked some for himself, Mommy and Daddy.
 Loving these spring days!
