Trip to NCAR

Hank and his friend, Rose, visited NCAR (National Center for Atmospheric Research) today in Boulder.

Once inside, they discovered the power of static electricity,

 the movement of the earth's atmosphere,

 microbursts,

 and gravity.

 Busy scientists at play!

Hiking the Coal Creek/Rock Creek Trail with Rose

Wahoo!  It's another hike!  

This time, Hank's friend, Rose, and her mommy, joined us for the fun.

 

After their sprint down the trail, the kids took some time to admire the water flowing in the creek.  

 Then they had to check out the mile marker.  

After a mid morning snack, we turned around and headed home.

It's so good to be a hiking boy!

Fountain Fun

Today Hank explored the fountains in downtown Lafayette.

 Hank was thrilled to be drenched from head to toe.

 He took a break from the fountains to walk around with his new friend, Rose, whom we met a couple weeks ago at the park.

 Soon it was snack time and the kids did a great job of sharing.

 As a special treat, Hank got to eat his very first ice cream cone ever.  Yum!

                                   

 Playing in the fountains is definitely fun!
